The latest issue of Cardiology Magazine, a Member Publication of the American College of Cardiology, featured the EMBRACE book and its author.
Gilead I. Lancaster, MD, FACC, a member of ACC’s Health Affairs Committee, recently published EMBRACE: A Revolutionary New Healthcare System for the Twenty-First Century, a book that details the Expanding Medical and Behavioral Resources with Access to Care for Everyone (EMBRACE) proposal that was first published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in 2009. It was developed by health care professionals – including Harlan Krumholz, MD, SM, FACC – with the aim of replacing the current health care system with one that can seamlessly integrate evidence-based medical guidelines, and provide effective and efficient care to patients.
